The lights went out at Rodina's match.

Today Rodina played an away match in Abakan in the national bandy championship. Several noteworthy incidents occurred that were unrelated to the game itself. First, the match was the local Sayan team's first home game of the season. They held an elaborate opening ceremony for the occasion, and as a result the match started with a delay of as much as 17 minutes. Second, shortly before halftime one of the floodlight towers failed, and the referee was forced to stop the game temporarily. As for the match itself, Rodina made its fans a little nervous. In the first half they led comfortably (3–0, 4–1), but after the break the hosts quickly reduced the deficit to a minimum. A timeout called by Rodina's coaching staff helped. Thereafter Rodina controlled the game and secured a 6–4 victory.
