      Maria Butina announced on her Telegram channel that she had been invited to become a member of the Coordinating Council of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on issues of assistance to children affected by humanitarian catastrophes, natural disasters, terrorist attacks and armed conflicts, and she thanked the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the invitation. “Thank you to the Head of the Department of Socio‑Political Work of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Hero of Russia Sergey Vasilyevich Petrov, for his cooperation and assistance with the Council’s work. For me this is an important mission and a testament to the trust in my professional activities. I value this opportunity and intend to actively contribute to the work of the Council,” wrote Maria Valeryevna. Separately, Butina thanked those who presented her with the commemorative medal “80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945,” noting that “it is a great honor and a symbol of the continuity of generations.”
