More than 2,500 "Chinese" in Russia will be subject to revocation.

      As reported by Rosstandart, JSC "Chery Automobiles Rus", which is the official representative of the automaker Omoda in the Russian market, is recalling 2,577 Omoda vehicles. Of these, 672 cars were sold between April and August 2025, and 1,905 cars are in stock.

      "The reason for the recall of the vehicles: in a traffic accident there is a possibility of an unexpected detachment of the plastic steering-wheel trim from the housing of the frontal airbag, which affects the airbag’s deployment and could potentially cause injury to the driver and/or passengers," said Omoda’s official representative.

      On all recalled vehicles the plastic steering-wheel trim will be replaced together with the frontal airbag. Authorized representatives of the manufacturer will inform vehicle owners of the need to bring their vehicle to the nearest dealer service center for repair work.       Note that all work carried out as part of the recall campaign will be free of charge for car owners.
