Repairs to the water supply system in Sovetsk are expected to be completed in 2026.

      In Sovetsk, work on the water supply system continues. It is scheduled to be completed in autumn 2026. To date, more than 80% of the work has been completed. Workers have partially replaced the water networks and installed new equipment. Next year they will install the pumps and filters that have already been purchased. Then commissioning and landscaping of the adjacent area will take place.

      According to the government, last year local authorities terminated the contract with a contractor who failed to meet the terms of the agreement and did not complete the work. The contractor was added to the register of unscrupulous contractors. To recover the money, the Sovetsk administration went to court. The court ordered the contractor to pay liquidated damages.
