Kirov lawyer Anton Dolgikh said what he had been waiting for in the pretrial detention center for nine months, besides being released to house arrest. Dolgikh said that for nine months he had been waiting for a trip to the barber for a haircut.

"For nine months I cut my own hair. I put a newspaper in the sink so the hair would fall on the paper, and I cut myself. You can imagine what it was like there," Dolgikh said, pleased that a barber had finally taken care of his hair.

Recall that on November 19 the Oktyabrsky District Court of Kirov announced the sentence for lawyer Anton Dolgikh. The defendant, accused of abuse of office, incitement and petty bribery, received a sentence, but ultimately was released from custody right in the courtroom. The court credited the nine months Dolgikh spent in pretrial detention, where each day is counted as two, and ruled to find him guilty and release him in the courtroom.
