Ruslan Mamedov was sentenced.
Today, November 21, the Pervomaysky District Court announced the verdict in the case of Ruslan Mamedov, the former director of the Kirov Region Tourism Development Center.
The court ruled:
under Article 160, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (misappropriation or embezzlement committed by a person using their official position) — a fine of 250,000 rubles;
under the first count of Article 159, Part 3 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed by a person using their official position) — a fine of 250,000 rubles;
under the second count of Article 159, Part 3 of the Criminal Code — a fine of 250,000 rubles;
under the third count of Article 159, Part 3 of the Criminal Code — a fine of 250,000 rubles.
In total he was sentenced to 750,000 rubles. However, taking into account Mamedov’s time in custody and under house arrest, the punishment was reduced to a fine of 500,000 rubles. The court also changed the preventive measure from house arrest to an undertaking not to leave the area.
As our correspondent in the courtroom reports, the lawyers commented on the verdict: “We agree with the verdict. We consider the verdict fair, issued taking into account the position of Ruslan Olegovich.”
Mamedov himself said that he plans to continue doing what he enjoys — delighting the people of Kirov.
