Rakhim Azimov: We will continue to attract funding for the development of the cultural sector in Kirov Oblast.
The project has been carried out in the Kirov Region since 2017. Throughout these years its regional coordinator has remained Rakhim Azimov. Thanks to his initiative, more than 40 million rubles of extrabudgetary funds have been additionally attracted for the development of cultural institutions in the region’s districts.
— “Culture of the Small Homeland” is an important project of the United Russia party that helps preserve and develop cultural infrastructure in small towns and villages. In recent years we have renewed conditions in dozens of houses of culture, supported creative collectives and initiatives. As the project coordinator in the region, I continue working to attract additional extrabudgetary funds and will continue to support culture at the local level,” Rakhim Azimov noted.
Results for 2025 were reported by the Minister of Culture of the Kirov Region, Daniil Dvortsov:
— “This year, within the project, 22 initiatives were implemented to repair and modernize houses of culture in 16 municipalities. Total funding exceeded 33 million rubles, of which 21 million came from the federal budget. We see lively interest from residents and thank deputies for their attention to the cultural sphere.”
In addition, the federal project “Theatre for Children,” which is also part of United Russia’s program, continues to be implemented in the region. Since 2017 the Kirov Puppet Theatre and the Theatre for Young Audiences “Theatre on Spasskaya” have received support for staging new productions and updating technical equipment.
