In Nolinsk, a lumberjack paid half a million for illegal logging.
Nolinsky District prosecutors supported the charges against a 45-year-old local resident who, at the end of 2022, illegally cut down trees on the territory of the Nolinsky local forestry unit. His actions caused damage to Russia’s forest fund in excess of 500,000 rubles. During the trial the man fully admitted his guilt and, before sentencing, compensated for the damage caused; it is known that he has a dependent minor child. The court took into account mitigating circumstances and imposed a fine of 150,000 rubles on the man, the press service of the Kirov Region prosecutor’s office reported.
