Automotive experts: spare parts could rise in price by 20 percent in 2026.
Auto experts issued a forecast for the price dynamics of commonly used parts for minor car repairs for 2026: a price jump of 15–20% is possible.
Based on the results of the first 10 months of 2025, the average cost of commonly used parts for minor car repairs rose by 7–10% year on year. As experts noted, these figures reflect the averaged change across the broad range of items. Analysts estimated the price increase at 6.8–7%, while some items showed increases of up to 18%, for example parking/marker lamps. The cost of brake discs, suspension parts and automotive fluids increased by an average of 12%.
Experts named rising costs of metals and chemical components, restricted imports, logistics and higher business operating costs as the main factors behind the price increases for parts and automotive fluids.
Auto experts also noted that motorists now purchase an average of 8.1 items per transaction. Last year this figure was 7.8.
Analysts estimate that in 2026 the cost of auto parts in Russia will continue to rise: the average price increase will be between 10 and 20 percent depending on the product category.
Analysts cite the introduction of new tax conditions and the abolition of the patent system for a number of entities in Russia with turnover exceeding 10 million rubles, which will increase market participants’ costs, as key factors driving up parts prices. Other reasons for the price increases include higher transport and logistics costs and mandatory labeling of certain groups of auto goods, which will affect the market from January–April 2026 and trigger price rises in some segments of up to 20%.
