In Kirov, the next stage of construction of the tunnel under the Trans-Siberian Railway has begun. At the construction site, the creation of a protective screen has started, which will become the basis of the future tunnel.
The structure will consist of 73 metal tubes connected into a U-shaped form with a vertical partition. This screen will become the tunnel’s framework, under the protection of which the main construction work will continue. This solution will allow train traffic on the Trans-Siberian Railway to continue uninterrupted, the government noted.
