Kirovstat: regional enterprises showed financial growth

      As Kirovstat noted, for the region as a whole a positive trend in the formation of financial results has been maintained over the past five years. At the same time, small business entities make a significant contribution to the region's financial coffers.

      According to the results of organizations' activities in Kirov Oblast for 2024, revenue from the sale of goods, products, works and services grew by 18.4% and amounted to 1,079.6 billion rubles. Costs for the production and sale of goods, products, works and services also increased by 18.4% compared with 2023 and reached 992.9 billion rubles. Profit from sales amounted to 86.7 billion rubles.

      The number of profitable organizations in Kirov Oblast significantly exceeds the number of unprofitable ones, Kirovstat noted. The share of profitable organizations rose by 0.2 percentage points compared with 2023 and amounted to 82.4%.

      High growth rates of the net financial result in 2024 compared with 2023 were recorded in organizations engaged in hotel and catering activities (1.6 times), construction (1.4 times), and agriculture, forestry, hunting, fishing and aquaculture (1.4 times).

      The largest share of profit was provided by manufacturing enterprises: 42.3% of the region's total profit. Also significant were wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (15.8%), and agriculture, forestry, hunting, fishing and aquaculture (12.8%).

      Small businesses are most active in trade: in 2024 their share of the total profit of organizations in wholesale and retail trade and in the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles amounted to 79.4%.

      The economic efficiency of organizations' activities is characterized by profitability indicators. Overall in the region's economy the return on sales and the profitability of sold goods, works and services remained at the 2023 level, amounting to 8% and 8.7%, respectively.
