Industrial production in the Kirov region decreased.

      In Kirov Oblast the industrial production index for January–September 2025 was 97.7% of the level of the previous year. Thus, the overall volume of industrial output declined.

      The largest decreases were recorded in mining, water supply and waste disposal, as well as in the production of electricity and heat. In the manufacturing industries the decline amounted to 2.1%.

      At the same time, growth was recorded in certain industrial sectors. Production of computers, electronic and optical products in the region increased by almost 80%. Output of transport equipment, pharmaceuticals and chemical products also rose.

      Declines were noted in the production of motor vehicles, electrical equipment, beverages, paper, leather goods and furniture. Food production has also decreased.
