A financier explained what kind of pension awaits Zoomers.

According to stock market expert Kirill Seleznev of Garda Capital, the calculations are based on an average salary of about 100,000 rubles and an employment history of 30–40 years.

"Future retirees from the zoomer generation will receive payments comparable to current pensions or slightly higher — due to the absence of 'lost' years that were not counted toward pensionable service, as often happened with older generations," Seleznev noted.

The expert also pointed out that the Russian Social Fund has been operating with a budget deficit for several years: with revenues of around 12 trillion rubles, expenditures on payments exceed 17 trillion rubles. In his view, even current pensions appear inflated relative to the fund's real capabilities, and the burden on the system will increase due to an aging population and a shrinking workforce, Gazeta.Ru reports.

According to the Russian Social Fund, as of July 1, 2025, the average old-age pension in the country is 25,098 rubles per month. For working pensioners — about 22.1 thousand rubles; for non-working pensioners — 25.8 thousand rubles.
