Construction of a new neighborhood has begun in Kirov.
Construction of a new microdistrict has begun in Kirov. Work is being carried out under a comprehensive development project for the southern part of the city. Its implementation began on October 24.
The total development area will be 192 hectares. The project will be executed in four stages. The first stage is being implemented by the company Zhelezno, which has signed a contract to develop an area of more than 26 hectares.
The new microdistrict is planned to provide housing for eight thousand people, as well as several kindergartens, a school, a sports complex, a small park, a central square and an arts school. To provide transport links, the construction of a six-lane, 4.7-kilometre avenue — Lipatnikov Avenue — is planned.
Authorities say the new road will help relieve congestion on Lenin Street. Funds were allocated to Kirov from the regional budget for the design of the avenue. These works are already under way.
