Nearly 4,700 women in the region received a payment upon the birth of their first child.

      In Kirov Oblast, 4,664 women received a payment upon the birth of their first child. This support measure was introduced by a regional law adopted in January 2024. The amount of the payment ranges from 38.2 to 45.8 thousand rubles. Women under 25 are paid more. According to Minister of Social Development Olga Shulyatyeva, 681 recipients of the payment are mothers aged 24 and younger. By the end of this year about 5,000 women will receive support, and over three years — no fewer than 7,000. The speaker added that during the period the support measure has been in effect, the share of first children among all births rose from 36.7% to 40.3%. An increase in the total number of first births has also been noted.
