They want to provide free legal assistance to Kirov residents who have been deprived of parental rights.
Today committee members discussed a bill amending the law "On Free Legal Aid in the Kirov Region." It is proposed to be adopted in two readings. The document provides for extending free legal aid to persons deprived of parental rights or whose parental rights are restricted. However, they will be able to receive it only if they seek assistance with restoring parental rights or lifting restrictions on parental rights. It was also reported at the meeting that last year 243 residents of the Kirov Region were deprived of parental rights. Of those, only 28 applied to have those rights restored.
