Rahim Azimov will help equip the Falensky Museum with modern equipment.
Major renovation work is in full swing: the façade is being renewed, windows and engineering systems are being installed, and interior finishing is being completed. Completion of the construction work is scheduled for October 31, 2025.
Rahim Azimov noted that he will support the museum in acquiring modern equipment, furniture and display cases. At his initiative, extrabudgetary funds have already been attracted, which will make it possible to create a comfortable and functional space for visitors.
"The Falensky Museum is an important cultural and educational center of the district. It carries out patriotic education of young people, the search unit 'Vysota' operates here, and the district's historical heritage is preserved and enhanced. I have visited the museum myself and know the work the staff do. Institutions like this help to preserve the history and identity of our territories. The museum should become a modern, comfortable and interesting place for residents and guests of the district," emphasized Rahim Azimov.
Head of the Falensky District Sergey Churin thanked the deputy for his continued attention to the museum:
"In 2016, with the support of Rahim Azimov, the roof was repaired, and in 2018 a video surveillance system was installed. Today, as the building is being completely renovated, it is important to equip it with modern equipment. We are grateful for the ongoing support and assistance in implementing our initiatives."
Museum director Natalya Kropotina said that after the renovation the institution will receive new thematic halls — "Russian Izba", "Back to the USSR", "S. A. Lobovikov Hall" and the "Room of Military Glory":
"The Falensky Local History Museum opened in 1998 to mark the 100th anniversary of the settlement of Falyonki. The collection contains unique materials about the nature, history and residents of the district, including about the life and work of the photographic artist Sergey Lobovikov, a native of these parts. After the renovation the museum will become even more interesting and accessible to visitors."
After the completion of the major renovation, the Falensky Museum will become a modern cultural space combining tradition, history and new technologies.
