The price of a liter of gasoline is approaching 65 rubles.
Today, October 14, Lukoil filling stations once again "delighted" motorists with updated price lists. A liter of AI-95 "Euro" gasoline rose by 30 kopecks and is now being sold for 64 rubles 62 kopecks.
It should be noted that this is the second petrol price increase in October. The previous one occurred a week ago, on Tuesday, October 7. At that time the price per liter of the 95 "Euro" also rose by 30 kopecks, reaching 64 rubles 32 kopecks.
Recall that earlier the Kirov branch of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) brought administrative proceedings against LLC "Lukoil‑Uralnefteprodukt" for monopolistically high prices. LLC "Lukoil‑Uralnefteprodukt" was fined 562,500 rubles. The agency noted that the company had set monopolistically high fuel prices.
The regional FAS reminded that earlier "Lukoil‑Uralnefteprodukt" had also been found to have violated antimonopoly legislation in a case initiated following complaints from private individuals. As a result of that case, the rise in retail prices for AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline was deemed unjustified.
Lukoil tried to challenge the decision of the regional antimonopoly authorities, but the Arbitration Court of the Kirov Region sided with the FAS and confirmed the legality of its conclusions.
The Tatneft filling stations promised by Mr. Sokolov, for which plots were allegedly allocated by the regional government as early as 2024, have yet to appear in Kirov.
Recall that in September 2023 a news item was published on the regional government's website stating that "In 2024 the creation of a Tatneft filling station network will begin in the Kirov Region." "In early September I was in Tatarstan, I discussed this issue with the head of the Republic, Rustam Minnikhanov. He guaranteed that this project would start by the end of the year. We have already chosen locations for the filling stations. A Tatneft delegation will soon come here to inspect the sites, and next year work will begin on creating the filling station network. Competition will, of course, be a good factor in terms of price formation," the regional head said at the time.
