Residents of the house on Murashinsky Lane were flooded with boiling water.

People had to leave their homes to avoid being burned, the People’s Front reports.

The emergency service, residents say, took an hour and a half to arrive. In that time water flooded the apartments, the stretch ceilings sagged, and “lakes” formed on the floors. In some rooms the wiring short-circuited. The family of Alyona Kinstler was especially hard hit: two televisions, furniture and bedding were damaged, the wallpaper peeled away from the walls, and the apartment has persistent dampness.

The situation is worsened by the lack of heating and cold water — residents cannot dry their belongings, wash, or prepare food. The management company, residents say, does not respond to complaints.

The People’s Front said it had sent an inquiry to the city administration.

“The administration promised that an emergency crew will be dispatched to the site tomorrow. If measures are not taken, we will appeal to the prosecutor’s office. As for the damaged property, people will have to seek compensation through the courts,” said Valeriya Cheremisinova, head of the regional branch of the People’s Front.
