A man from Kirov feared criminal prosecution and paid 350,000 rubles in alimony.

      As reported by the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Kirov Region, the man had for a long time not transferred money for the support of his minor daughter and had not attempted to repay the debt, which exceeded 350,000 rubles.

      After an inspection, the bailiffs found that the Kirov resident had no valid reason for non-payment, and summoned him for a meeting, where they warned him of possible administrative and then criminal liability.

      The prospect of facing a criminal conviction quickly cooled the debtor’s ardor — to avoid serious consequences, he paid the full amount of the debt.
