In Kirov Oblast, a company was fined 3 million rubles for bribery.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region conducted an inspection of compliance with anti-corruption laws at enterprises in the region. During the inspection it was revealed that an employee of a company regularly gave money to a factory employee in exchange for obtaining confidential information about tool deliveries. This allowed the company to win tenders and sell its products at lower prices than competitors. The total amount of the bribes amounted to about 246,000 rubles.
The prosecutor's office opened cases under the statute on unlawful remuneration on behalf of a legal entity. The court found the organization guilty and imposed a fine of 3 million rubles. To secure payment of the fine, a company vehicle worth 7 million rubles was seized.
According to the press service of the Kirov Region Prosecutor's Office, guilty verdicts had previously been handed down against the company employee who gave the money and the recipient of the bribe.
