      On the afternoon of May 22 last year, a 12-year-old girl from Kirov sustained leg injuries after falling through an anti-vandal grate of a fountain in Kochurovsky Park. She was diagnosed with injuries of moderate severity. At the same time, the preliminary investigation authorities did not find any signs of a crime, and the initiation of criminal proceedings was refused. The prosecutor's office, in turn, established a lack of proper municipal oversight of the tenant's fulfillment of contractual obligations for the maintenance of the city fountain and the arrangement of public recreation areas. The prosecutor filed a lawsuit seeking to recover monetary compensation for non-pecuniary (moral) damage from the territorial department of the Kirov city administration. The amount of compensation was 250,000 rubles. The court decision has been forwarded to the enforcement authorities, and the outcome is under the supervision of the Leninsky District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Kirov.
