Police officers led two lost families out of the forest.
In late August, two families living in the Kirov region went mushroom picking in the forest in the Zuevsky district. At some point they became lost and realized they would not be able to get out of the forest on their own. The mushroom pickers contacted the 112 emergency service by phone, which passed the information to the duty unit of the Zuevsky municipal department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The head of the municipal criminal investigation unit, Vladimir Ashikhmin, organized the search operations. The pouring rain hampered the search, but within a few hours the families were found and led out of the forest. They did not require medical assistance. They thanked the police officers for their professionalism and promptness during the search.
