MegaFon launches a SIM card delivery service in partnership with Samokat.

To get a SIM card this quickly, simply follow the pop-up on MegaFon's official online store and arrange free delivery, after which Samokat's partner couriers will deliver the order in as little as 15 minutes.

“There is huge demand among users for express delivery of goods. With the launch of SIM-card delivery from 15 minutes with our partner Samokat, we provide the highest possible speed and quality of service,” commented Vadim Zimin, Director of the Department for Strategy and Sales Development at MegaFon.

“Samokat continues its strategic transformation, developing in the direction of experiential retail. Already today our customers can order MegaFon SIM cards through partners’ storefronts and receive them with fast and free delivery from Samokat. A partnership of this format allows us to go beyond traditional e-grocery and meet more and more everyday needs of users, including those formed on our partners’ platforms,” said Evgeny Malyshev, Head of Samokat’s Specialized Business Department.

The partnership expands the operator’s SIM-card delivery capabilities. Samokat’s new service is available in 129 Russian cities. In addition to MegaFon's online store, SIM cards can also be ordered through Samokat’s own online service.

In addition to delivery methods, MegaFon is expanding both online and offline channels for distributing SIM cards. They are now available on the country’s largest marketplaces, such as Wildberries, OZON and Yandex.Market, as well as in the online stores of leading retailers. Offline, SIM cards can be purchased in supermarkets of national and regional chains, as well as in multifunctional centers (MFCs).

MegaFon is actively developing sales of SIM cards with remote activation capability; this format is in demand and in September this year showed growth of more than 50% compared with September 2024. A self-registration SIM card allows customers to connect to the operator’s services without visiting a retail store. To activate it, you need to insert the card into your smartphone, choose a tariff in the mobile app and select “Activate SIM card.”

A subscriber can activate their current number or port their number from another operator to MegaFon. If the customer already has a MegaFon number, it is enough to select “I am a MegaFon subscriber” or verify their identity using their Gosuslugi account and sign the contract in the “GosKlyuch” app. The card is activated within 15 minutes.
