Kirov Oblast ranks 55th in terms of the material well-being of its population.
Kirov Oblast has improved its position in the ranking of material well‑being among Russia’s regions. However, it is still far from real wealth — the region ranked 55th out of 85. By the end of 2024, Kirov Oblast’s rating score was 52.73, which is higher than the previous year’s figure (42.19). In other words, the material situation of residents of Kirov Oblast has officially improved.
Leading the ranking are the Yamalo‑Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Yugra and Magadan Oblast. At the bottom of the list are Ingushetia, Tuva and Chechnya — where residents’ material situation is assessed as the most difficult.
