A new park called "Forest Corner" opened in Belaya Kholunitsa with the support of gas companies.
The urban environment improvement project was implemented with the support of Kirov gas companies, the Phoenix Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives, the Legislative Assembly and the Government of Kirov Oblast, the company "ArchIdea", and the administrations of the town of Belaya Kholunitsa and Belokholunitsky District. A modern recreational area now stands on what was previously a vacant lot: it features a sports zone, a children's playground with slides, swings and a sandbox, and a quiet relaxation area with a chess table and canopy swings.
"Last year, during the gasification works in the town of Belaya Kholunitsa, we spent a lot of time talking with residents, learning about their lives and what they lacked. As it turned out, there are many young families with small children in the town and they needed a place for walks and relaxation. A suitable site already existed, but it needed improvement. This citizens' initiative was supported by me as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly," noted Alexander Chilikin, CEO of JSC Gazprom Gas Distribution Kirov and LLC Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Kirov.
Belaya Kholunitsa is an excellent example of how a small town can be transformed so that residents can live, work and raise children here in comfort. The new park is an important contribution to the development of a comfortable urban environment for young families and the next generation. The local authorities have taken on the responsibility for maintaining the area.
"Our city begins with our homes, yards and public spaces. That is why residents' participation in the improvement is so valuable — they are the ones who will actively use the new park. I am convinced that 'Forest Corner' will become a favorite gathering place that the townspeople will fill with their own warmth and care, where they will enjoy spending time with their children, loved ones and neighbors," said Vyacheslav Vinitsky, head of the Phoenix Foundation.

He expressed the view that larger fines should be imposed, “20 million a day,” so that the management of contracting companies would be left without salaries and forced to sell their property if they miss deadlines. “So that sparks fly from their eyes!” the regional head exclaimed.
During Sokolov’s conversation with the head of the Kirov branch of T Plus, Sergey Beresnev, it emerged that one contractor is working on Kazanskaya; he took four of T Plus’s 27 sites. The governor was outraged that the contractor had taken on so many sites despite not being able to complete them all due to a shortage of workers and equipment. He suggested that Beresnev ensure T Plus contractors cannot take on too many sites. He also sharply rebuked him, threatening that next year the timeframes for work could be reduced to a week and that fines could increase many times over. He also asked when the section on Kazanskaya and Truda would finally be completed. Beresnev replied that it would be this Saturday evening.
