Utility bills will start arriving later than usual.
This was told to RIA Novosti by Alexander Yakubovsky, a member of the State Duma committee on construction and housing and communal services.
According to the deputy, the change in deadlines is aimed at increasing the convenience and transparency of the housing and utilities system. It will give management companies more time to correctly calculate charges, and give citizens confidence that bills are generated without errors.
As the parliamentarian noted, the innovation should also reduce the number of requests for recalculations and disputes between residents and service providers.
Earlier, the State Duma reminded that citizens who have accumulated debts on utility payments can have them annulled through bankruptcy proceedings.
