Pensioners with savings of up to 440,000 rubles will be able to withdraw them immediately.

Pensioners with savings of up to 440,000 rubles will be able to withdraw them immediately.

According to State Duma Committee on Labour, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs member Svetlana Bessarab, women aged 55 and men aged 60 are entitled to receive the funded part of their pension, Izvestia reports. If the monthly amount of that part is less than 10% of the pensioner's subsistence minimum, the funds can be withdrawn in a lump sum.

With the subsistence minimum set at 16,200 rubles and a calculated payment period of 270 months, the maximum lump-sum amount would be approximately 439,000 rubles.

As Bessarab noted, according to estimates by the Russian Social Fund, more than 700,000 people will be able to use this measure. The average payment will be just over 61,000 rubles, but the exact amount will depend on individual savings.
