Rumble strips are being installed on the roads in Kirov Oblast.

      Rumble strips are raised transverse lines across the carriageway that create vibration and noise when driven over. They are particularly effective before pedestrian crossings, intersections, railway crossings and highway exits.

      Work has already been completed on ten sections. In total, about 435 square meters of surface are planned to be installed. New strips will be installed on the following routes:

      Kirov – Malmyzh – Vyatskie Polyany,

      Kirov – Sovetsk – Yaransk,

      Kirov – Kirovo-Chepetsk – Zuevka – Falyonki – the border of Udmurtia,

      Southern bypass of Kirov,

      Kotel'nich – Darovskoy,

      Kirov – Strizhi – Orichi,

      Slobodskoy – Nagorsk,

      Kyrchany – Nema – Kilmez.

      As noted by the government of Kirov Oblast, the project is being implemented under a government contract. At the same time, the region's road infrastructure continues to be improved: sidewalks are being built, barriers, traffic lights and road signs are being installed.
