According to the portal of the Unified State Register of Civil Status Acts (ZAGS) on September 27, 2025, Kirov Oblast has gained new residents who were given rare and unusual names. Thus, among newborn girls the most unusual names were Safina, Vafa, Safiyat, Lika and Melisa. Among boys — Elmir, Prokopiy, Iakim, Mirali and Slavyan. Recall that, according to this portal on September 3 of this year, the rarest names among newborn boys in Kirov were Selim, Sadig, Muhammad Ali, Svetozar and, oddly enough, Dmitry. The rarest names among girls were Teya, Veroslava, Rosalia, Mia and Ilyuza.
