In August, Russians bought a record number of used electric cars.
The leader of the used car market was traditionally Japanese Nissan — 524 vehicles, of which 501 were the Leaf model. In second place was Chinese Zeekr (214 cars, of which 150 were the Zeekr 001), and third was American Tesla (131). Also in the top five were domestic Moskvich (106) and Volkswagen (86).
Altogether, from January to August 2025, 8,214 used electric cars were sold in Russia, which is 13% more than in the same period a year earlier.
It should be noted that the first charging stations in Kirov appeared as early as the summer of 2024 — at the bus station, the drama theatre and on Marshal Konev Street. Later, fast charging opened in the parking lot of Pobedilovo Airport, as well as along the routes to Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Kostroma and Kazan.
Recall, according to the traffic police (GIBDD), 449 electric vehicles and 346 hybrids were registered in the Kirov region in 2023 alone.
