The Central Bank will issue "Saint George the Victorious".

      On September 30 the Bank of Russia will put into circulation gold investment coins depicting Saint George the Victorious with face values of 100 and 200 rubles. Both coins are made of 999‑fine gold, have a reeded edge and will be legal tender within the country. Each coin is being issued in a mintage of up to 100,000 pieces, the press service of the Bank of Russia reports.

      The 100‑ruble coin weighs 15.55 grams and has a diameter of 30 millimeters. The obverse depicts the coat of arms of Russia with the inscriptions “RUSSIAN FEDERATION”, “BANK OF RUSSIA”, the denomination, the year of issue and an indication of the gold weight. The reverse is adorned with Saint George the Victorious slaying a serpent with a spear.

      The 200‑ruble coin weighs 31.1 grams and has a diameter of 33 millimeters. Its design is similar.
