Dmitry Medvedev: "United Russia" will continue to work on in-demand initiatives.

Yesterday, in the Moscow educational cluster "Lomonosov", the All‑Russian Forum for the Support of Civic Initiatives of United Russia supporters took place. Its participants included more than two thousand representatives of the non‑profit sector, government bodies and civil society, both offline and online. United Russia sincerely values what NGOs do, and in working together with them addresses a very wide range of issues, stressed party chairman Dmitry Medvedev.

"We will continue to actively assist in strengthening the institutions of civil society in our country. And, of course, work together with you on implementing initiatives demanded by the times. I am confident that the forum will give an impetus to many promising ideas and undertakings," he said in his welcoming remarks to the event's guests.

"For sovereign development, the state needs not only a strong army and a stable economy," said Secretary of United Russia’s General Council Vladimir Yakushev. "Social cohesion and unity of core values are also of great importance. Civil activists play a special role in this."

Vladimir Yakushev also announced that party supporters and NGO representatives will take part in drafting a new people's program with which the party will run in the 2026 State Duma elections. According to him, the document should be short, concise, clear and at the same time simple.

"So that it contains fewer bureaucratic expressions, so that every citizen of our country, when turning to this document, can find answers to simple everyday questions. And, of course, when we describe what concerns non‑profit organizations today, we should do so with ready‑made proposals that will be gathered in supporters' councils," added the Secretary of United Russia’s General Council.

Following the forum, a resolution was adopted containing initiatives to support NGOs. For example, the proposals concern further reducing administrative burdens and optimizing reporting for non‑profit organizations, developing the Ministry of Justice’s thematic portal up to creating a "single window". And to protect historical memory, it is planned to provide assistance to school and student museums.

Another important action that State Duma Vice‑Speaker Irina Yarovaya proposed United Russia supporters back is the Minute of Silence. It is held annually on June 22, the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, at the initiative of the party.

"The Minute of Silence in 2026 will be special, as it will mark the 85th anniversary of the invasion of fascist Germany into the territory of our country. We urge you to take the most active and engaged part in its organization and conduct, in order to involve residents of the country and people around the world as fully as possible," said Irina Yarovaya.
