The Ministry of Natural Resources explained why you shouldn't remove dead animals from the forest.
The ministry explained that "ownerless game" can be not only illegal but also dangerous:
It is a violation of the law. Without special documents, transporting a game carcass is considered an offense and can result in a fine and even suspicion of poaching.
It is a health risk. The cause of the animal's death is unknown: it could have been infected with a disease dangerous to humans and domestic animals.
Environmentalists advise not to touch the find, but to remember the location and report it to a game warden, a hunting inspector, the veterinary service, or the police.
"By reporting such finds to specialists, you help ensure the safety of people and domestic animals and prevent the spread of possible infections," the ministry noted.
