A pensioner who had gone missing in the forest was found in Kirov Oblast.
On September 22, a 72-year-old pensioner went missing in the settlement of Leninskaya Iskra. He had gone into the forest to pick berries and did not return home at the appointed time. An acquaintance noticed this and reported it to the police.
According to the Kotelnichsky department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the search began immediately after the information was received. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and volunteers from the Liza Alert team also joined the effort. For several days they searched the forest in the area of the Shchennikovsky outpost, continuing the search even at night. Cold and adverse weather conditions complicated the situation.
On September 25, detectives found the elderly man in a swamp near the outpost. The pensioner was very tired and in a weakened condition. Police officers and rescuers helped take him to the hospital. His life is not currently in danger.
