The leadership of the Kirov Investigative Committee may be changed again.
As Newsler.ru has learned, personnel changes are expected soon in the leadership of the regional Investigative Committee. Thus, Maxim Kozlov, who remains in the status of "acting" and was appointed this summer (formerly deputy head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee in Udmurtia), may be transferred to Karelia as part of a horizontal rotation within the agency.
In fact, Colonel of Justice Maxim Kozlov headed the regional agency for no more than three months. He replaced Andrey Vinogradov in the post, who had led the regional Investigative Committee since December 2019.
If this happens — and sources in law enforcement circles speak of it as a fait accompli — the leadership post of the oblast Investigative Committee is being tipped for Colonel of Justice Sultan Orazayev. He is currently deputy head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Kirov Oblast.
Born in 1975 in Nalchik (Kabardino-Balkarian Republic), Sultan Shagirovich Orazayev from 2015 served as deputy head of the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus Federal District. He has been awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" II class, the breast badge "Honorary Employee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation," the medals "For Merit," "For Loyalty to Duty," "Valor and Courage," "For Distinction," "For Impeccable Service" I class, and the badge of distinction "Best Investigator."
