According to the agency, as of December 31, 2024, there were 4,411 personal service establishments in Kirov Oblast belonging to organizations and individual entrepreneurs. More than half of them (55.1%) are located in the city of Kirov.
The largest share of the personal service infrastructure was occupied by beauty industry establishments providing hairdressing, cosmetic, manicure and pedicure services: 27% of the total. Second were facilities for vehicle maintenance and repair: 19.6%. Third were enterprises specializing in furniture manufacturing and repair services: 8.7%. Facilities for the repair and maintenance of household radio-electronic equipment, household machines and appliances, and firms providing housing construction services each accounted for 7.9%. Ateliers make up 7.7% of the personal service infrastructure.
Kirovstat noted that over the past five years the total number of personal service establishments increased by 23.9%—by 852 units. During this period the number of enterprises providing repair and maintenance services for household radio-electronic equipment doubled. The number of enterprises for vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as other types of personal services—cleaning services for apartments and private houses, organization of weddings and anniversaries, and landscape improvement—increased 1.6-fold. The number of furniture manufacturing and repair establishments grew by 28.4%, dry-cleaners (laundries) by 22.5%, and beauty salons by 21.1%.
