A new brand, "Sister Alyonushka", has been registered in Kirov Oblast.

      As reported by the head of the Directorate, Alexey Cheptsov, the brand is based on the work of Viktor Vasnetsov: "We continue to work on creating the visual image of the Kirov Region to promote the region at the all-Russian and international levels. Ivan Tsarevich and his sister Alyonushka — fairy-tale characters depicted in the paintings of our fellow countryman Viktor Vasnetsov — are known throughout the world and evoke positive emotions."

      At a meeting with Governor Alexander Sokolov in September, plans to promote regional brands were discussed. For this purpose, a working group has been created under the leadership of First Deputy Chairman of the Government Alexey Zherdev; together with the Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, work is underway on the formation and use of trademarks.

      According to Cheptsov, logos, brand books and usage guidelines will be developed for each brand. Entrepreneurs can use the registered marks to promote their products by submitting an application via email.
