A new asphalt plant began operating in Oparino.

The Vyatavtodor enterprise reported that the plant's output is 110 tons of mixture per hour. The first batch has already passed testing in the company's laboratory and meets all GOST requirements.

The plant's opening was attended by the first deputy chairman of the regional government, Alexey Zherdev; the transport minister, Alexey Petryakov; and Vyatavtodor's CEO, Oleg Semakov. According to Zherdev, the launch of production will make it possible to promptly support repairs and the major construction of the Oparino–Podosinovets–Luza road, which is expected to connect Kirov Oblast with Vologda and Arkhangelsk oblasts and the Komi Republic.

Work is currently finishing in Oparino on the installation of road signs, and on the Almezh–Oparino section work is already underway as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."
