
In Kirov Oblast, turnout in the elections to local self-government bodies exceeded 12% by noon.
All polling stations in the region opened at 8:00 a.m. and are operating normally until 8:00 p.m. Voting is taking place under the observation of representatives of parties, candidates, public oversight bodies, and accredited media. A calm and orderly atmosphere has been observed at the polling stations.
Deputy Chair of the Kirov Oblast Election Commission Vladimir Motorin inspected the progress of the elections in the Orlovsky municipal district on 14 September. He visited territorial and precinct election commissions and spoke with voters and observers. According to Motorin, voting is organized at a high level and conditions have been created for the comfortable participation of all citizens, including those with limited mobility.
As of 10:00 a.m. turnout was 7.91%; by midday that figure had risen to 12.11%.
Recall that on the previous day, 13 September, the first day of voting took place in the Darovsky municipal district — the only one in the region where elections are being held two days in a row. Chair of the regional election commission Galina Burkova visited the district, noting the high level of organization of the campaign. Following the first day, turnout there was 22.11%.
