As reported by activists of the People’s Front, in July specialists came to inspect the gas equipment in the building, but one of the owners in the sixth entrance refused to let them into his apartment. After that the gas was shut off along the entire riser and nine apartments were left without gas.
The situation is particularly difficult for pensioners and people with disabilities. One of the families went to their dacha, the others are forced to use electric hotplates and pay extra for electricity.
Residents contacted the gas company and the State Housing Inspectorate, but this yielded no results. The agency only sent a notice to the owner and posted an announcement on the noticeboard.
The People’s Front said that if the gas supply is not restored soon, the materials will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.
