In Kirov, a report of dead fish in Khlynovka was investigated.
A resident of Kirov reported to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Kirov Region a possible pollution of the Khlynovka River in the area of Socialist Street. According to him, dead fish were seen in the water.
A ministry employee went to the site. During an inspection of the water area and the adjacent section, no evidence of fish deaths was found. According to a preliminary assessment, the river’s swift current could have carried the remains downstream.
To study the situation in detail, a specialist took a water sample, which was sent to an accredited laboratory for chemical-analytical testing. Additionally, the section of the Khlynovka from Socialist Street to Melnichnaya Street was inspected — no signs of discharge of contaminated wastewater were found.
The ministry thanked the Kirov resident for his proactive stance and emphasized that such reports help to respond promptly to potential environmental threats.
