A Kirov businessman will be tried in Pskov for bribing road workers.
As a reminder, a criminal case against an entrepreneur from Kirov Oblast was initiated by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Pskov Region in May of this year under Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code. The man was suspected of giving a bribe to an employee of the Department for the Operation, Repair and Construction of Bridges of the State Budgetary Institution "Administration of Highways of the Pskov Region."
The agency reported that the criminal case was opened as a result of operational-search activities by the Directorate of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Pskov Region. According to the investigation, during the period from April 15 to May 20, 2025, the man, acting in the interests of a company that was subcontracted to repair the bridge over the Pskova River, handed over in two stages to an employee of the institution, who was acting as part of an operational experiment, a bribe of 100,000 rubles in exchange for the unimpeded signing of acceptance certificates for the work performed.
The man from Kirov was remanded in custody. At present, the criminal investigation has been completed and the case materials have been forwarded to the court for consideration on the merits.
