The administration of the Kumensky District was forced to set up waste collection sites.

      The Prosecutor’s Office of Kumensky District identified violations in the arrangement of sites for the accumulation of solid municipal waste in the settlement of Olimpiysky and in the villages of Sludnoye and Shvetsovo. The sites were found not to be equipped with a solid base, fencing, or protection from precipitation, which is contrary to sanitary requirements.

      In the interests of residents, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit seeking to compel the municipality to remedy the violations. The court found the claims to be well-founded and ordered the authorities to bring the waste collection sites into compliance with standards. The enforcement of the decision is being monitored by the prosecutor’s office.
