A 49-year-old resident of the settlement of Pinyug will spend almost a decade in a general-regime correctional colony for murder. As the court found, on the night of January 3–4, 2025, during a gathering she became jealous of her live-in partner over a neighbor and struck her rival at least 17 times with her hands and a brick. The victim died of the injuries sustained.
Taking into account a prior conviction for theft, the court sentenced the woman to nine years in prison and a fine of 20,000 rubles. An attempt to appeal the sentence was unsuccessful — the regional court upheld it.
The convicted woman will serve her term in a general-regime correctional colony.
