
85% of young people in Kirov are willing to work in factories, but only under comfortable conditions.
According to hh.ru and Level Group, 44% of young people still associate factory work with dirt, noise and danger. Another 36% consider it low-paid, and 34% call it boring and monotonous. For 18% a factory remains a symbol of outdated technologies, and 11% of respondents are convinced that such work is unprestigious.
At the same time, 40% of those surveyed associate factories with stability and reliability, 30% value the opportunity to work with their hands and see the results, 24% note the social benefits package, and 17% consider manufacturing a place where modern technologies are implemented.
In the Kirov region, 85% of young people would agree to work at factories if comfortable working conditions were provided. For 63% cleanliness and order are important, 56% want a modern building with natural lighting, 53% — a good canteen. For 26% green spaces and a landscaped site are valuable, the same share mention convenient rest areas. Another 19% want to see AI assistants, 16% — stylish design "like in an IT office", 13% — sports facilities, and 9% — coworking spaces.
Among barriers most frequently mentioned are the Soviet-style atmosphere (53%), the distance of plants from the city (51%), outdated equipment (51%) and poor environmental conditions (48%). In addition, 39% complain about the absence of proper rest areas and a canteen, and 29% — about the isolation of factories from the familiar urban environment.
