A complaint against the mobile operator was filed with the police, Rospotrebnadzor and the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

Recall that recently Mikhailov sent a complaint to the prosecutor's office and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia for the Kirov Region regarding the mobile operator Yota. He stated that the company allegedly guarantees the provision of unlimited internet despite the restrictions imposed by the authorities of our region. In his view, Yota's advertising may mislead consumers, since in fact the operator cannot provide the promised level and quality of service, yet continues to charge the full fee for services.

Yesterday Mikhailov reported that he had received a response from the prosecutor's office. It says that it forwarded the materials for consideration to the UMVD of Russia for the city of Kirov, the Rospotrebnadzor Directorate for the Kirov Region and the FAS of Russia for the Kirov Region. The first agency will check whether unlawful actions were committed, the second whether consumer protection legislation was violated, and the third whether the requirements of legislation on competition and advertising were violated.

Mikhailov also said that earlier he had filed a pretrial claim with Yota in which he demanded a reduction in the service fee and the return of the amount overpaid for July–August. However, the lawyer still did not receive a response.
