In Slobodskoy, a driver rammed into graves at a cemetery.

      The intermunicipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Slobodskoy” was notified of damage to graves at one of the local cemeteries. The police were able to identify the person involved — a local resident born in 1970.

      Thus, on the evening of August 31 the driver, who did not have a driver's license, was driving a domestic SUV on the road near the cemetery. At some point the man lost control, drove off the road, damaging fences, monuments and graves, and then fled the scene.

      Administrative materials have been drawn up against the man under Part 1 of Article 12.7 (driving a vehicle by a driver without the right to drive), Part 2 of Article 12.27 (failure to fulfill duties in connection with a road traffic accident), and Part 2 of Article 12.37 (failure to comply with mandatory civil liability insurance requirements for vehicle owners) of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. An inquiry is currently ongoing, following which the actions of the Slobodskoy resident will be given a legal assessment.
