Dolgikh on the court's decision: "I could barely hold back tears of joy"

      As we wrote earlier, at the last court hearing Dolgikh's lawyer, Violetta Volkova, filed a new motion to change the territorial jurisdiction. She stated that the entire bench of the Kirov region is "biased," and that the prosecution is "obviously partial." Ultimately the motion was accepted and sent to the Sixth Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction in Samara. There they will decide whether the case will remain in Kirov or be transferred to another region. Meanwhile, a letter from him was published on the "Lawyer Anton Dolgikh" channel, in which he shares his emotions about this decision. In particular, Dolgikh expressed great regret that his wife Tatyana could not be present for the announcement of the decision and rejoice with him. He also added that he barely held back tears of joy upon hearing the judge's words.

      "Tanyusha, I barely held back tears of joy (it's nerves) upon hearing the judge's words... This is the beginning of the end, I think... Finally! It made me forget about the 'horror of yesterday' and about the fact that the next hearing is in a month," the letter reads.
