A complaint was filed with the prosecutor's office and the Federal Antimonopoly Service against the mobile operator over "misleading advertising of unlimited internet."
The document was prepared by lawyer Yaroslav Mikhailov, as he reported on his channel "Охрана рыбовЪ". The filing states that the company allegedly guarantees the provision of unlimited internet and the functioning of WhatsApp, Telegram and other services, despite restrictions imposed by the authorities in Kirov and the Kirov Region. According to the complainant, Yota's advertising misleads consumers, since the operator in fact cannot provide the promised amount and quality of service, yet continues to charge full payment for its services. The complaint mentions signs of violations of antitrust and criminal law, as well as consumer rights. In addition, a pre-trial claim was previously sent to Yota demanding a reduction in the tariff and a refund of overpaid amounts for July and August. The lawyer also noted that users can use the text of the appeal he prepared as a template for submitting their own complaints.
